January 2015 thru June 2016 -
75 bed community hospital within the CHI hospital system I had been working for over many years. I was requested to take this position as they were experiencing a great need in these departments and the leadership knew my capacity from successful employment at our downtown sister facility for the 10 years prior to this.
Perioperative Director for 6 bed OR, PACU, Preop, Pretesting, Sterile Processing and GI lab.
Improved sta morale and satisfaction as demonstrated on sta ng surveys. Improved compliance in many of the perioperative areas. Promoted improved team work. Passed The Joint Commission survey “ with flying colors” as stated by the survey team publically in the final meeting of a 4 day survey.

October 2015 thru early January 2015 - transferred to sister facility to meet hospital leadership needs
Hired as the Coordinator of Endovascular, a new department being established at his hospital. Room not built yet. I was brought in to hire all sta including nurses, surgical techs, first assistants and radiology techs providing each with the training within their level of licensure and certification to begin a department that had not yet been at this hospital. Out department was so productive, a second room was built within a year and a half to keep up with our high physician satisfaction and growing numbers. I and my team set up equipment, products, orders, protocols and systems for charging for procedures as well as coding the procedures. I progressed in this job to be the Manager over Endovascular in 2 years and then by the 9th year was requested by my Service LIne Administrator to additionally take over the Director position for the Sterile Processing Department which served our 28 bed OR as well as 40 other departments. I did this successfully with improved physician satisfaction, reduced errors and very high volume instrument turnover.
