Project Description:

Nectar eStores provides a platform for ecommerce through Nectar website, and through which affiliate marketing is established between retailers and intermediaries. Due to control over the information provided by the Intermediaries, Nectar Finance was unable to recognise eStores sales until the cash hits the bank account.

This eStores system was first re-engineered to rewrite and automate from existing PL/SQL batch process to build a new tracking mechanism on the points awarded for each transaction, commission for the same, Payment/Self-Billing Invoice details, reporting, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Requirements gathering (agile methodology) and specification document sign-off from clients.

Analysed complex batch modules and business transaction calculations implemented way back in 2002 and transformed into new business requirements with additional functional capability and performance capability.

More than 50 percent of UK households collect Nectar points when shopping for groceries, booking a holiday, paying household bills, buying petrol and even eating out.

Nectar project involves all levels of support provided to Batch & Online systems. This project entails research into the problem to determine the cause, data fixes or program changes and production support activities.

Project also involves designing and developing new enhancements to the existing system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Implementation, monitoring and recovery of batch processes that involve nearly 3 million accrual transactions every day.

Batches window processes designed efficiently to complete within 5 hours daily with peak volume to meet stringent SLAs.

Developing new batches as per the Business Requirement.

Fixing the bugs raised by the Business as part of Kanban board task.

Engaged in automations, problem management, RCA with effective solutions and mitigation playing key role in customer service and continuous process improvement.
