PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY: Kerrie Lynn Robinson White has lived in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, since 2008. Before that, she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 1970, when her family moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was born in 1956.

She was graduated from Chaparral High School in 1976 and attended three years of study at the then Clark County Community College and University of Nevada at Las Vegas, majoring in English literature and communication studies. Due to hard work and intention while caring for a growing family and working at times, she maintained a near-4.0 grade-point average. She also completed a self-administered medical typing and transcribing home-study course.

During the years 1976 through 1992, she held various journalism, administrative-assistant, and secretarial positions. After this, she became sole proprietor of White Medical Communication Services, a medical-transcription service specializing in obstetric and gynecologic, as well as psychiatric, transcription. She currently is a freelance writer of prose, an autobiography, and a great deal of poetry.

WMCS was a sole-proprietorship service company offering to the professional medical community in Las Vegas the following products: transcription, typing, and proofreading of reports, notes, letters, contracts, resumes, and curricula vitae, etc.; technical research, writing, and editing; psychiatric-record corpora and condensed-records reviews; spreadsheets, charts, and graphs; desktop publishing, i.e. newsletters, fliers, employee handbooks, etc.; and minutes of meetings. Ms. White supervised subcontractor medical transcriptionists as work flow required.

July 1989 to January 1992: Executive Assistant to Joseph W. McLaughlin, Executive Vice President, Lending Division, PriMerit Bank, Federal Savings Bank, 3300 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89102. Ms. White provided administrative support for the executive vice president of real-estate lending; acted as corporate secretary for the bank's subsidiary mortgage corporation in Irvine, California, including maintenance of corporate records, serving as recording secretary for board-of-director meetings, facilitating projects, etc.; taking minutes of meetings; budget preparation and monthly reconciliations; writing and developing secretarial and real-estate loan-agent training manuals; training personnel on computers; designing promotional fliers for loan representatives; designing various forms; designing and maintaining spreadsheets and graphs; composing correspondence; and general secretarial duties, etc.

July 1987 to July 1989: Promotional Writer, Feature Writer, Customer-Service Assistant Manager and Representative, “Las Vegas Review-Journal” newspaper, 1111 West Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89106. Ms. White had the pleasure of writing personality profiles and other stories for “The Nevadan" Sunday magazine, as well as writing a variety of feature stories during her summer internship in the features department. Her “foot in the door" toward these creative efforts was as customer-service representative then promotion to assistant manager of customer service for the newspaper. After her internship, Ms. White was transferred to the promotion department, where she wrote articles for and facilitated the production of shopping-mall special sections. She also enjoyed writing and facilitating two employee newsletters, one for customer-service and newspaper-distribution departments and one for news, promotion, and business departments, the latter earning first place in “The Best in the West" competition, recognition of excellence in contemporary newspaper promotion in the category of newsletter.

Summer 1988: Radio Copywriter, Associated Press, 1111 West Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89106. Ms. White covered night-shift input of major Las Vegas news stories into the Associated Press newswire for radio broadcast while the regular journalist covered the Summer 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.
