I am a native of Breckenridge County and a member of the small-farm community. I have over twenty-five years of experience working as an Inspector in the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) Livestock & Poultry Grading and Verification Division. I have extensive knowledge in agribusiness and USDA official standards and certifications. My administrative responsibilities include daily interaction with supervisors, plant management, and peers. My leadership responsibilities include training new employees, coordinating with graders, and acting as Grader-In- Charge. I have conducted public demonstrations and reviewed retail meat outlets (in supermarkets, meat markets, hotels, and restaurants) for compliance with Public Law 272. I serve as a resource to the small-farm community through education, demonstration, and implementation of new programs and methods. I am motivated to improve small scale and limited resource farms in our county to better improve their business results.
