Description

The Kroger Co. one of the world’s largest grocery retailers, with fiscal 2014 sales of $96.8 billion, spans many states across USA with store formats that include grocery and multi-department stores, convenience stores and jewelry stores. The Kroger Co. operates under nearly two dozen banners, all of which share the same belief in building strong local ties and brand loyalty with customers. Account includes the effort of 190 resources and the project includes 20+ resources at offshore & 10+ at onshore.

The primary function of Kroger EDI consists of translating application data into a standard format (X12), communicating the data to trading partners and ensuring its receipt through the use of the EDI Functional Acknowledgements. EDI at Kroger interfaces between 25 different Kroger applications on over 100 logical platforms via direct communications and/or through 3rd party providers (VAN). Kroger utilizes UCS guidelines that are part of the ANSI X12 EDI Standards used to send and receive EDI transaction sets. Kroger's most current version is 005010 for transactions with over 8,500 business trading partners.
