1. As Structural engineer
Renaissance Phase -3, Powai 2020- Till date
The building is a composite structure with steel columns encased in concrete. Building has 3 existing basements cast in 2009 and we need to do demolition and modification to accommodate new composite columns starting from basement.
Above ground the building has 10 parking floors and 18 office floors. Building height is approximately 120 m and total value of project is around 600 cr.
Reviewing the structural design and drawings submitted by structural consultant INSTEEL ENGINEERS.
Verifying the structural design of steel connections is done as per IS Code and other relevant codes and standards.
In addition to review work, I was also involved in design and detailing of the Insert plate and steel connection design.
Structural Design calculations done using engineering software ETABS.
Coordination with site team and Structural consultant to sort out engineering issues.
IICC project, New Delhi 2018-2019
India International convention and Expo centre (IICC), a project of government of india providing one of the largest facility of its kind in India and Asia .New delhi being the nations capital and the commercial centre of northern india and it is one of the most productive business location in india.
India International convention and Expo centre (IICC), which includes an Arena, a Convention Centre (CC), five Exhibition Halls (EXH) a Grand Foyer
(GF) and the MUD (Mixed-Use Development area). The Convention Centre is the head of the ECC Complex, welcoming visitors who arrive by car.
The Convention Centre directly links to the Grand Foyer, which runs almost a km to the south, connecting at the same time to all the Exhibition Halls. Half the walk, a singular building raises from the Grand Foyer, welcoming visitors from the main metro station.
Phase 1 includes the Convention Centre, Exhibition Halls 1 and 2, part of the Grand Foyer and all the urban and trunk infrastructures needed to operate the first stage of IICC Dwarka. It will also include the external development of the first stage of the Mixed-Use Development area and total value of project is around 2700 cr.
In IICC project, I was involved in calculations of various loads, Design of slabs and staircases of the convention center building.
Preparation of scheme drawings and supervising BIM modellors and draftsmen
Structural analysis and Design calculations done using engineering softwares such as ETABS and STAAD PRO.
Preparation of engineering design reports and drawings
Experience in design of structures by Indian codal standards
Review of work done by other structural engineers.
Getting approval for engineering drawings and documents from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Coordination with Site and services team to sort out engineering issues. TENDER PROJECTS

2. As Execution engineer 2013-2015
Worked as execution engineer in CTS Shollinganallur and VR mall project site of L&T construction – Buildings and Factories IC.
Handled finishing works such as Blockwork, Plastering and Interior works.
Handled Structural works such as Pilecap and Raft foundation.
Involved in Daily progress documentation and Quantity Estimation.
Subcontractor billing for the above mentioned works.

Structural system optimization – Deeper metal deck profile 2020 Summary of Study is listed below
In composite beam/ slab floor system main force transfer mechanism is through shear studs.
Tried with various sizes and up to 25mm dia shear studs for design calculations
For 100mm deep profile Shear transfer through shear studs is satisfying the design requirements up to 11.5m span with 2hr fire rating criteria
(190mm thk.)
For 100mm deep profile Shear transfer through shear studs is satisfying the design requirements up to 9m span with 2hr fire rating criteria (200 mm thk.) (Thk. Requirement depends on loading)
Shear transfer through shear studs is not satisfying the design requirements for deeper deck sheets more than 100 deep profiles for any span with 2hr fire rating criteria.
Deeper decks shall be used for permanent shuttering and for heavier loadings. Composite action cannot be achieved with deeper profiles more than 100mm.
