Property Management/Maintenance Experience

Phoenix Co-operative House: Work Job Coordinator and House Maintenance Coordinator May 2010 – Aug 2012

Maintained a 28 unit cooperatively run building, Maintained a prioritized list of maintenance tasks to be carried out

Personally participated in general home maintenance

Start to finish construction of a 20’ paver walkway, grading for proper drainage, cutting and placing block. Still in correct operation after approx. 5 years.

Interior and exterior painting and wood-work maintenance

Maintenance of a 28-unit steam-heat system and radiators.

Scheduled and lead 28 volunteers to complete maintenance tasks according to set deadlines

Attended all weekly house meetings and bi-weekly MCC Maintenance Committee meetings

Assisted and occasionally supervised general home maintenance projects under a ‘Worker Group Lead’ staff member.

General per-project building and facilities maintenance work on high-maintenance old buildings with modern amenities including painting, internet wiring, woodwork and carpentry, replacing reverse osmosis filters, light-bulb and home lighting repair, appliance replacement and maintenance.

Maintained and bled hot-water heating radiators.

Completed stabilization of the 30-unit Lothlorien Co-op as ordered by the City of Madison after the 2013 fire.

Personal General-Construction Work Experience

Volunteered to assist in the construction of a friend’s pole barn building including truss installation and sheet steel siding and roofing install. (June 2020)

Hired by a private client to re-do baseboard quarter-round trim (2019)

Built a 40 foot cement block retaining wall at on my parents property (2003)

Assisted my dad over the course of 8 years on rebuilding our family’s home built in 1900 which on purchase was considered a tear-down. (Sweating copper pipes, replaced all wiring, sheet-rocked all walls, replaced all cabinetry with scratch made on site)
