My working career started off in the

mechanical industry. I did my theoretical

studies at North-link collage in Fitter &

Turner, Hydraulics & Pneumatics in 2010.

I later moved on to acquire my practical

skills and improve my workplace

knowledge. I relocated from the Western

Cape to Mpumalanga to further my

professional career.

In May 2018 I obtained my Trade Test

Certificate as Mechanical Fitter, since then

I have continued expanding my knowledge

in the field.

HYDRAULIC FITTER TRAINEE (Feb 2011 - Feb 2013)

Fluid Flow / Vredenburg, Western Cape.

I was employed on a internship as a hydraulic fitter trainee. My roles and duties entailed:

Installation, repairing and maintaining of hydraulic and lubrication systems.

Repair and maintenance of equipment of the

company and the customers.

maintaining the hydraulics on fishing vessels.

Prefabrication of pipe installations for various sites SEMI-SKILLED FITTER (Apr 2013 – Jun 2014)

Employment was based at Sappi Ngodwana Mill on the goCell project. My main rolls entailed:

installations of AC motors, gearboxes and training conveyor belts

Installing head and tail pulleys

Installing counter weights.

APPRENTICE (Jul 2014 – May 2018)

Sappi Ngodwana / Mpumalanga.

4 Year apprenticeship and obtained my Fitter Trade test in May 2018.

MAINTENANCE FITTER (June 2018 – February 2021 )

Sappi Ngodwana / Mpumalanga.

Main Responsibilities:

To fit, assemble, grind and shape metal parts, sub- assemblies and fabricate parts for production

machines and other equipment.

Perform Fault finding and repair or correct

equipment.

Perform daily and weekly inspections.

Perform standby as required.

Report all deviations to the (Foreman).

Withdraw spare parts and equipment utilizing SAP.

Comply to Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality

(SHEQ) requirements of the Mil and section.

Assist production personnel with equipment isolation

/ Lockout of the process when preforming isolation / Lockouts of the equipment.
