I am a B.Bibl (ed.) graduate with experience as Head librarian and librarian of a Public Library. During my 25 years of experience, I have accumulated in depth understanding and knowledge of the application of public library and information service principles as well as acceptable practices and procedures. I have five years managerial experience and have accrued extensive professional skills while organising and running the activities and operations of a public library, executing special projects, outreach projects and fundraising events. I have diverse exposure within my chosen field working with people from all walks of life. I have a passion for reading and art.

I monitor training developments, organise and handle work flow, and work responsibilities while building a productive, congenial service and working environment.
Administrative- I have developed comprehensive administration skills that include expenditure control. I have strong work ethics reflecting dedication and the ability to commit time and energy. I am able to work under pressure, both independently and in a team. I do banking once a week and work according to a Book-budget for book-buys.

I also do the Acquisitions for the Children’s Section.

Several of my newsletters have been published in the Cape Librarian, our Inter Library Magazine, published by Provincial Library Services and Die Burger.
My poem, O toga a Gogga, published in: Die Nuwe Afrikaanse Kinderverseboek, by Riana Scheepers.
I took part in the very popular TV-game show, Noot-vir-Noot, series 32.
I started the Spine Cracker Book Club at Table View Library in 2008.
