Duties & Responsibilities
Sr. Quantity Surveyor,
- Takes of actual quantities installed in the field and compares same with the plan and drawings.
- Development and standardization of the method of measurement
- Coordination with Engineering Core Group disciplines for identification of scope errors, omissions and missing Pay Items.
- Validate quantities are being reported accurately or are properly quantified and estimated for change orders or claims.
- Assist with reviewing contractors pay certificate
- Presenting detailed information on the cost of particular elements of work on a periodic basis to enable payment for those works carried out to date
- Coordinates with others to effectively resolve early warnings, compensation events and disputes fairly, including actions to define the merit of changes and pricing
Cost Estimation & Tendering
- Prepare, analyze and maintain accurate quantities and thorough take offs from plans.
- Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline no exceptions.
- Responsible for bid administration in preparing full estimates on complex work.
- Cost estimating, budget control, cost forecasting, cost reporting and cost risk analysis
Prepares and maintains status of plan reproduction Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors Prepares subcontractor bid packages.

- Makes sure that project work stays compliant with industry standards, specifications, building codes, and design instructions.
- Manage the submittal log and coordinate submittal drawings with contractors.
- Keep accurate and detailed project records.
- Responsible for monitoring it to ensure the project is staying on track. This includes checking project plans and drawings to verify authenticity and accuracy.
- Aware of the project big picture while focusing on the details in order to keep all aspects of the project moving at a good pace
