1. Project Name: Pearson Publications Apr 2020 to Till Date

Client: Fadel Inc

Role: Lead Consultant

Description: FADEL is an innovator in digital rights management software and royalty accounting software. Pearson Publications is one of the clients of Fadel Inc. Pearson is most popular industry in books manufacturing for all kinds of education and most of the authors have various deals with Pearson in publishing books.

This project is to put all the Rights, Deals and agreements between Pearson and individual authors and to automate the Royalties paid by Pearson to respective Authors based on various types of deals agreed up on.

As a part of this project, all the above process is brought to automation using standard Oracle O2C process and customizing most of the outside O2C process like generating/calculating various payments based on different types of deals and summarizing all payments from Pearson to Author, verifying if there is any recoupable amount being raised by Author and making adjustments before paying invoice amounts to Authors.

Responsibilities:

•Created multiple interfaces between 3rd party systems to RSS with various sources.

•Created Suspense Validation Program to validate all the data that is received by RSS (Royalty Sales Staging) and to push it to IPM (Intellectual Property Management)

Capture and use detailed employee time card information to address the complex billing and compensation needs of each of the global operating units

The design leverages OTL’s comprehensive functionality and Oracle Apps integration capabilities – through ISG

The application is offered both in desktop and mobile platforms with complex integration using REST APIs

Responsibilities:

•Created multiple REST APIs for implementing OTL as a separate web application

•Customized OTL workflow(HXCEMP) to meet complex approval requirements – Default/PM/Time Approver capabilities. This eases time card approval process for large project environments

Description: Modified the existing migration components as a part of support team and have worked in an Onsite-Offshore field of work to provide 24hrs support for US client. This project consists of solving tickets raised by the client when a particular R12 component doesn’t work as expected as the R12 environment tables are different from the 11i tables and hence we have to check which table is to be replaced with what table of R12.

Description: Customized the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) accounting Work Flow

ICS-UK& IT has different types of contract projects. These projects differ from each other in their accounting requirements and hence the same transaction might be accounted in different accounts depending on the project type.

For COGS accounting also, business has different accounting requirements depending on the project type. As standard COGS account generator cannot build COGS account segment values depending on the logic, it has to be customized to derive account segment values from different sources. As per ICS-US business requirements, COGS account segment values can be derived from following sources:
