WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

• All aspects of patient care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, cardio vascular Diagnostic and Intervention Procedure.

• The Technologist is responsible for operating Angiographic equipment such as angiographic computers, power injector and hemodynamic pressure recording.

• Prepares the examination rooms for diagnostic and interventional procedure.

• Review the patient medical history present on the examination requests and consult the physician as necessary.

• Maintains daily log of procedure performed.

Maintain is inventory of supplies to be ordered and submits order request to supervision

(Stents, catheters and Balloons).

• Managing Cardiac Emergencies

• Doing Oxygen Saturation for Blood samples.

Doing all types of Transthoracic Echo including Stress Echo, Strain imaging, 3D Echo and assist Trans esophageal Echocardiography.

TECHNICALLY EXPOSED PROCEDURES

Echocardiography

• Transthoracic Echocardiography (2D & 3D – Echocardiogram, Tissue Doppler Imaging) including routine LV function, special cases like Valvular heart diseases, Cardiomyopathy, Ischemic Heart Disease and Congenital Heart Diseases.

• Echo assisted interventional procedures like BMV, device closure in cath lab and post procedural evaluation.

• Trans Esophageal Echocardiography(TEE)

• Contrast Echocardiography

• Stress Echocardiography(Dobutamine)

Performing more than 10 bedside echoes per day on emergency basis Diagnostic & Interventional Procedures:

Right and Left Heart Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary Angiogram, Peripheral vascular Angiogram, Coronary Angioplasty including Rescue PTCA, Peripheral Angioplasty, ASD Device Closure, PDA Device and Coil Closure, Rot ablation, Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty (BMV), Temporary Pacemaker implantation (TPI), Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (PPI), AICD implantation, CRT implantation, IVC filter insertion, Pericardiocentesis, Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT), IVUS, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump FFR, EP Study, Radio Frequency Ablation, Alcoholic Septal Ablation, Carotid angiogram Cerebral angiogram
