Pleasant good evening Sir/Madam,

I’m please to apply to your organization for the position as Executive Chef, my name is stated above and all my information will be the resume attached to this cover letter.

I would like to take this opportunity to mention a brief history of myself. I’ve been in the food industry for over 30 years as I started into the fast food industry and moved on to local kitchens here in Trinidad enhancing my skills and knowledge for our local,Caribbean and West Indian cuisine. And after a few years I was hired and introduced to International cuisine which is just over 25 years.

Over the years I was traditionally trained hands on and I’ve been fortunate to work along side different chefs from different countries while working home and travelling abroad. My career thus far has taken me from a dishwasher to cook, sous chef,head chef and Executive Chef and some years ago as a part time facilitator at the local Hospitality Institute.

Casual Dining, Fine Dining, Airline catering and a short stint at a hotel as Executive Sous Chef. Over the past years I’ve in the front line of the local food industry and I’ve gained much respect for my reputation. In the past 10 years I’ve opened my own private catering services and it has been family operated as I’ve involved my wife and family, consulting for other food businesses was also part of my agenda.

Covid has entered the World and have changed the dynamic of everything especially the economy and it has hit our country very bad. I’m presently looking for contract employment abroad and if you see it fit that I can be an asset to your company, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
