TITLE: A PROCESS PARAMETER INVESTIGATION IN SINGLE POINT INCREMENTAL FORMING [January (2021) – May (2021)]

DESCRIPTION: In this project, the experiments were conducted to analyse the deformation mechanism of commercial Aluminium of grade AA1100, AA8011 and Stainless steel of grade SS 316L alloy material using CNC Vertical Machining Centre with varying the input process parameters of incremental step depth, feed rate. The model was designed using PTC Creo software, and the desired toolpath with NC code was generated by using Mastercam software, and the actual process was simulated in Abaqus simulation software. Besides this analysis, result of the effect of forming angle, thickness distribution, microstructure analysis, standard formability profiles and the graphical representation of formability are presented to show that which profile has the better wall angle that achieves on our desired shape.
