Responsible Site Project Manager for the execution of the Gas Processing Project and managing of closure of Engineering and Procurement phase. The activities comprise modification works, new buildings (substation, buildings, shelter), Tie-In and Pipeline activities.

EPC Contractor is China Petroleum Engineering Construction Company (CPECC) with Engineering done by Technip and Worley and main vendors are SIEMENS, ABB, FS Elliot. The main rotating equipment comprise Feed Gas Compressor, Air Coolers and Air Compressors.

Due to major lack of coordination within CPECC and Subcontractors dedicated focus is necessary to achieve closure of Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities and even direct control of Subcontractors is required.

Responsible to manage a PMC Team comprising Construction Manager, Tie-In and Commissioning Manager, Project Engineering Team, Planning Team, HSE and Inspection Team.

Weekly review of Procurement/Expediting status and additional reviews with main and delayed vendors.

Weekly meetings with Technip and Worley on open Engineering points. Worley mainly responsible for the Tie-In Engineering.

Tie-In review meetings with focus on Material and Engineering Readiness.

Identification of delays of Pipeline work and mitigation plan instructed to HDD boring Sub Contractor.

PMO Manager in IPMT Jacobs/TransnetBW 2020 - 2021

JACOBS SUEDLINK PROJECT/TransnetBW, Germany. Contractors: Prysmian, NKT, LF, Arcadis, Bernard and Julius Berger International.

Responsible for the areas of Project Controls, Planning, Document Management, Quality Assurance and IT and other support areas for the Client Project Manager (TransnetBW).

The Project consists in the EPC of the transmission of the renewable energy to the south of Germany via buried cables transmitting HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) including all the process to obtain final concession and final alignment in coordination with Engineering Offices and Government Authorities as well as 3 Converters and Overhead Transmission Lines.

Responsible to ensure that Engineering Deliverables are accurate and approved on time.

Responsible for Design (FEED and Detail Design) and Procurement and follow up of vendor’s design (i.e. SIEMENS, ABB, General Electric) production and delivery of all equipment and bulk material to Basra, Iraq.

The Project consists in the revamping and extension of the existing Compressors, delivery of containerized substations, Instrument Air and Nitrogen supply equipment, motors, pumps and other process skids.

The special issue is that the project is characterized to be included in the UN Charta on flare reduction and recovery of gas for internal consumption and export.

Responsible to independently follow up a portfolio of a minimum of 8 Projects within the Project Specification, Budget and Schedule

Review of Scope with Lead Discipline Engineers and Client and establishing of budget and schedule for all Engineering and Procurement activities.

Responsible, from Client’s Representative side, for Design, Procurement, Construction and Revamp of the Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery in the State of Kuwait.

The Project consists in the revamping and extension of the existing Units of the Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery to improve the quality of the refined product.

The special characteristic of the Project is the revamping of the Refinery while in operation. The main activities consist in the daily coordination with KNPC Operations and the detailed Readiness by Contractors (SK (Korea), GS (Korea) and JGC (Japan)) for the Shutdown of the Units to Revamp.

Responsible to follow up Readiness (Engineering, Procurement, Manpower, Equipment and Delivery to Site) of Contractor to execute the Shutdowns

Interim additional role as Tie-In and Shutdown Coordinator for the Readiness and Execution of 1600 Tie-In Points related to Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation in existing Refinery.

Achieved high standard in the Pre-Start Up Safety Review process with Client which are essential for the restarting of the Units and Plant.

Responsible for the coordination of the interfaces of Underground activities interfering with existing Roads and existing facilities.

Responsible, from Contractor s side, for the erection of the KCC Camp in Block 61 for our Client BP in Oman.

Focal point and Contractor’s Representative to the Owner (BP) and Owner’s Representative (Jacobs).

The Camp is in a remote area in the desert of Oman and is provided with all the facilities like power generation, Sewage Treatment Plant, and main buildings like Medical Facility, Canteen, Fire House, etc.

The Project consists of prefabricated units manufactured in United Arab Emirates by Red Sea Housing which are then shipped to site where all the Civil, Infrastructure, Fire and Gas, Instrumentation and Electrical works are done by AIP.

Responsible for the design, procurement, logistics, execution and commissioning of the whole Residential Complex

Established a team of expatriate Leads for the areas of Project Controls, Procurement/Logistics, Engineering and Construction of the Project.

Developed temporary infrastructure solutions for the camp in case of delays in the delivery of permanent infrastructure to avoid (enormous) Liquidated Damages (LD’s)

Established in parallel a completely New Fly Camp (Company’s asset) to be used as temporary accommodation of Contractor and Owner’s staff Global Wells Organization responsible for the drilling of wells and supply for the fractionation in the future Process Plant.

Responsible, from Contractor s side, for the EPC Management of the Storage Terminal located in the Um Qasr Terminal in Basra, Iraq.

The Project included Inspection of the existing plant, Reverse Engineering and evaluation of existing equipment to be refurbished or replaced.

The Storage comprised the refurbishment of pumps, condensate tanks, spherical tanks, piping and valves.

Responsible form Contractor’s side to report on Storage Terminal on the progress and costs of the Engineering development and Execution of the planned works to the Owner.

Responsible for the decision to renew or rehabilitate existing equipment, depending on OPEX and output performance according to Owner’s business plan.

Responsible, from Employer s side, for the supervision and management of the design and erection of the Cheves Hydropower Plant (168MW) located in Churin, Peru as well as the Transmission line (75kms) to Substation Huacho. The design and erection work comprise the civil/structural (dams and tunneling), mechanical, electromechanical, instrumentation and electrical (transmission line and substation) discipline. The Technical Manager is managing the design and supervision done by a nominated Norwegian engineering consultant (Norconsult). The erection works are being executed by International Contractors (Hochtief (Germany), ABB (Canada) and Abengoa (Spain)).

The Technical Manager is responsible to coordinate that the Engineer submits and coordinates deliverables, FAT s, Commissioning, Start-up and hand over of the plant.

Responsible to ensure the quality and integrity of all technical deliverables

Ensure that deliverables are on time to Contractors and Subcontractors

Responsible to establish a OPEX matrix to identify risks during the Engineering which might impact the future Operation.
