MAIN PROJECT

EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS ON SOLAR GREEN HOUSE DRYER FOR HERBAL LEAVES DRYING

Main Objective : The primary objective of this project is to dry the Herbal leaves in minimal time and retain its medicinal properties.

Description : An experimental study is taken up for drying Drumstick (Moringa Olifera) leaves in a Natural Convection Solar Greenhouse Dryer to remove its moisture content from intial moisture level of around 75-80% (w.b.) to a final equilibrium moisture content level of around 3-4% (w.b.) using solar energy in order to produce it to powder from to retain its nutrition and medicinal properties. PARTICIPATION

“Role of a Mechanical Engineer in the Industry” conducted by Sathiyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
