CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Over a period of 10 – 15 years in civil service, I have garnered extensive experience in hearing conservation, audiology, medical management, supervision and education. Areas of strength include working with both military and civilian populations in medical settings with emphasis on hearing health and analysis, and creation and maintenance of electronic medical records. Professional experience/strength include working with Hospice and Palliative Care in the hospital setting, and Hospice in home visitations and assessments.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2021

Outreach Specialist. Employed as a contractor for Elite Business Strategies(EBS), subcontractor for Rumph & Associates, under direction of The State Of Virginia Common Wealth, Department of Emergency Management, for the public assistance(PA) program EDUCATE VACCINATE. Responsibilities include working with various stakeholders; Virginia Department of Emergency Management, Virginia Department of Health in various Hampton Road areas such as Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach for pandemic education information activity, and events that provided Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J vaccines. Also worked in conjunction with various community, faith-based organizations as well as civic organizations, to get information out to the community residents and direct their interest to get immunization COVID-19 vaccinations at various Federal(FEMA), State level, Virginia Department of Health(VDH) vaccination clinics. Locations of clinics include Virginia Beach Convention Center, Military Circle Mall, various faith-based organizations locations, community centers, and local events. The practice of Personal Protection Equipment(PPE) and sanitized equipment was used at all public gatherings to assist with events which included VDH Prep Mod registration. Became HIPPA certified and trained to be able to correctly handle public information, to make vaccine registrations, telephone calls, and emails to public. Deployment program EDUCATE VACCINATE included door to door community campaign with flyers, doorhangers that would promote events and locations that would host vaccination clinics. Work overtime hours up to 40hours when required. The result of campaign resulted in 70% of Common Wealth Virginia residents being 1st dose vaccinated. By June 2021, this improved vaccination rankings from 48 out of 50 states to +number 10 in the nation.
