OBJECTIVE

To obtain a position in maintenance/management or engineering where my experience and technical ability can help the company grow and achieve new heights in reliability and production.

EXPERIENCE

1993-2004

E&I TECHNICIAN, GREAT LAKES CHEMICAL

Provided E&I support to all units at the Great Lakes’ facility. During 1993 to 1996 I worked as an E&I technician for the Greatlakes South plant facility in El dorado, Arkansas. I began this job at 18 years old and was the youngest E&I technician that Great Lakes had ever hired. I spent these 3 years hands on and in multiple training classes on all types of instrumentation and DCS equipment FOXBORO, ROSEMOUNT, YOKOGAWA, Bailey, ROCKWELL and as many others. In 1997 I transferred to the Great Lakes Central plant facility as a technician and work the next 9 years in that capacity often filling in for as lead man for the supervisor at the time Marvin McCalman. I left Great Lakes in 2004 to pursue my own personal business that I had been growing for the last 9 years.

2005 – PRESENT

E&I SUPERINTENDANT, EL DORADO CHEMICAL

I signed on with El Dorado Chemical in March of 2005 as a contract E&I team member as I decided not to pursue my personal business interests and looked to focus on my corporate career. In April of 2005 I was asked to join the Eldorado Chemical team as a full-time employee and one month later became the E&I supervisor for the sites E&I department leading the E&I technicians. In 2008 I became the E&I superintendent and absorbed responsibility for the E&I planners and the DCS programmers. I have always insisted that my title be E&I team leader as I believe in leading by example and the titles of (Supervisor or Superintendent) is not the way I want my direct reports to see me.

In May of 2012 our site suffered a catastrophic event and sent us into major reconstruction efforts for the next 4 years. During this time, I served not only as the E&I superintendent but in lieu of an Electrical engineer I was assigned the main oversite for the next 4 years of E&I construction. We completed the construction in late 2016, the project with a cost of 800 million dollars for site reconstruction and expansion. I was assigned the task of overseeing all the new electrical and instrumentation/controls construction and design for the site including a new installation of a Rockwell automation control system, 15 megawatt Cogen power station, a completely new 13.8 volt overhead system to power 3 new plants being added to the site as well as a 5 million dollar centralized control room. I have also led the development of the total sites’ Preventative Maintenance program for the electrical and instrumentation department and risk ranking of our equipment. I am also currently on the corporate MRT (Maintenance Reliability team) for LSB industries.

I have had experience in leading crews from as small as 7 people to crews in over the excess of 50. These crews were from all different background and ages, hourly and salary union and not union inhouse and contract. I am currently responsible for 11 technician 2 DSC programmers and one planner. I have been responsible for all the sites Electrical and instrumentation capital project from design to funds appropriation and completion up 1.5 million dollars.

I have been asked serval times about my style of supervision so here it is.

I believe in giving my people the tools to do the work expected of them setting expectations and holding them accountable. As well as holding myself accountable. I will not ask any one to do a job unless I will do it myself. I am laid back and easy to get along with and I expect my personnel to do their job that they are trained to do to the best of their ability with honor and integrity. I believe in leading by example.

EDUCATION

1993

TECHNICAL DEGREE, SOUTH ARKANSAS COMMUNITY COLLEDGE

I was above a 3.0 for my total attendance and on the Dean’s list. I have attended numerous other courses during my career, Apollo root cause, Excel, Microsoft Project, Js Biggs Supervisor training, Dale Carnegie, Rockwell Rs view, RS Logix and many other Rockwell automation classes. These are just a few of the certifications that I hold. I have many others with college hours. I have been involved in six sigma teams and other site lead trainings. I have always attended any training that I have assigned to my directs as well as any offered to me by my company. I believe we can never stop learning. I am a senior member of the ISA (International Society of Automation) and would like to pursue the CAPA (Certified automation Professional) certification.
