2. After two years on the water front, promoted to a lead mechanic/assistant supervisor.
3. Upon my selection into the advanced program, I became a design and engineering apprentice working alongside designers and engineers rotating to many different areas of the engineering sector of the shipyard.
Submarine Overhaul (Structure/Foundations)- went on ship checks to evaluate problems and used Auto CAD to produce Drawings, also answered inspection reports when problems were found.
Obtained a Secret Clearance in 2007 due to my work on Submarines
Reactor Services- Created Piping Diagrams of the Nuclear reactors in Auto CAD
Research and Development- Researched for the NAVY alternative Jet Fuels that were not petroleum based.
Lofting- Used CATIA (3-D modeling tool) to create a 3-D model of the aircraft carrier.
Naval Architecture- Used Microsoft excel to calculate the weights and moments of Submarines. Also created a Microsoft excel tool to calculate the volume of counter sunk holes for weight calculations.

4. After my graduation, I accepted an offer in production planning in order to continue to enhance my knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

2006: Elected treasurer for the student chapter of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (S.N.A.M.E.) at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard.
2007: Became the project lead on a design competition sponsored by
(S.N.A.M.E.) for high school kids in the local area to design a radio controlled propulsion system to place on the boats used for a boat-racing competition.
2008: Elected Chapter Chair for the organization of (S.N.A.M.E.), overseeing many different aspects of the organization to include traveling to different states for nationwide conferences.
