MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. groundBREAKER and Mpintshi support

Recruit, select and induct groundBREAKERS (with Line Managers) in line with National recruitment guidelines.

Implement festivals and events to recruit, register, and retain Mpintshis (with groundBREAKERS)

Develop, implement and manage groundBREAKER and Mpintshi personal development plans

Guide and assist groundBREAKERS and Mpintshis in the development of workplans (with Line Managers)

Conduct regular face-to-face and telephonic meetings with groundBREAKERS and Mpintshis.

Assist groundBREAKERS and Mpintshis in gaining access to schools for programme implementation.

Evaluate and give regular feedback on sessions conducted by groundBREAKERS and Mpintshis in school

Track groundBREAKER and Mpintshi performance against targets and give regular feedback to them and the Programme Manager

Ensure programme implementation is appropriately targeted and keep records of targeted youth reached

Implement annual groundBREAKER and Mpintshi graduation events with appropriate incentives and ceremony

2. Capacity building of groundBREAKERs and Mpintshis

Ensure that all necessary capacity building interventions for groundBREAKERS are implemented

Plan for and coordinate participation of groundBREAKERS in set training activities

Provide workplace coaching and mentorship of groundBREAKERS as required

Conduct relevant and appropriate – on site capacity building intervention based on need

3. Programme Implementation & Outreach activities

Assist groundBREAKERS and Mpintshis to conduct community mapping exercise for their locations and have these visibly displayed in their hubs

Lead the implementation of identified and relevant loveLifestyle programmes in the region as guided by the set programme implementation plan from the Programmes Manager

Implement loveLifestyle programmes at identified events on the National Sport/Games calendar.

Serve on Local Organising Committees for all loveLife events taking place in allocated area.

Distribute, inventory, and manage all sports and programmes equipment in the allocated area.

Support special projects and loveLife alumni-driven projects within the region.

Manage the integration of the loveLife media campaign with programme implementation.

Providing the national media team with information on stories, communication suggestions, and youth trends from the identified area.

4. Marketing, Advocacy and Lobbying

Develop and implement an Outreach & Marketing Strategy in line with the National Strategy;

Develop partnership with local electronic and print media (community radio stations, regional radio stations) in conjunction with National Media;

Contribute to the Development and implementation of a local fundraising strategy in support of loveLifestyle programmes;

5. Monitoring, Evaluation and Research

Provide programmes monitoring reports to the Programmes Manager highlighting all successes and challenges related to programme implementation

Support evaluation and ad hoc research projects implemented by loveLife and its partners.

6. Effective Stakeholder Management

Develop and maintain an database of all relevant stakeholders;

Initiate and manage relevant community and schools partnerships to achieve loveLifestyle objectives and plans

Ensure effective communication with programme partners and relevant stakeholders

Provide partnership management reports to the Programmes Manager highlighting all successes and challenges related to programme partnerships

Position Healthy lifestyle programmes coordinator (Gauteng Soweto)

Duties:

Planning, Administration and Monitoring.

Conduct training (formal and on-site) for community level implementers and volunteers at all levels of implementation.

Conduct training evaluations and training needs assessments for Mpintshis and groundBREAKERs (Implementers).

Provide ongoing support, coaching and mentorship to community level implementers and volunteers.

Coordinate and support loveLife campaign and training activities in the region.
