Infection Control Experience:

ï Prevent the spread of infection to patients, employees and visitors across all health care settings. ï Function as a member of the senior staff in the role of an educator and consultant. ï Perform data collection, outbreak investigation, development and implementation of prevention and control strategies, implementation of regulatory requirements. ï Collaborate with staff- touching virtually every area, including nursing, medical staff, administration, laboratory, pharmacy, dietary, sterile processing, operation room, environmental services, facilities engineering and construction.

ï Review IC - policies and procedures, locate information in the patient record, conduct infection control rounds, and do syndromic surveillance.

ï Prepare monthly, quarterly IC reports, do yearly risk assessment and goals. Identify nosocomial - Infections. ï Identify, educate clinical nursing staff and enforce isolation protocols. ï Obtain internal microbiology and external specialized Med mined reports and present as needed to the appropriate nurse managers and infectious disease Medical Director, and MEC.
