Accomplishments.

After receiving my ticket I got a job to supervise the construction of 6 large houses in China. After that success I went to South Korea to fix 2 large houses that ran into problems. I was able to correct and finish what others could not. I was lucky to build a round house that rotates 360 degrees, that was quite the challenge as I had very little reference to go on and a lot of obtuse thinking was required.

Experience,

Marshall Jordan Construction. Oct-89 – may-96

Laborer to journeyman, Naniamo, B.C.

This was my first introduction to construction. We built and disassembled scaffolds, bracing, and barricades. Trained in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mudding. Assisted skilled workers with construction in all phases of rough to finish carpentry. Cleaned all construction areas to avoid hazards. Installed and repaired roofs, and flashings and surfaces. Mentored junior team members, providing proper techniques and safety. Completed indoor and outdoor residential and commercial projects. This is were I learned and developed the necessary base skills and schooling. As in this trade you are constantly learning new skills and that’s what I like the most. Stagnation is not a good bed fellow for me.

Kosik construction

Carpenter, Darwell, AB. Mar-97 – May-09

Lawerence Kosik owned a big cat company and he head hunted me from the place I was working. He would buy properties and I would build him a house or two a year for him. When I wasn’t busy building I would drive a cat, loader, buggy, bobcat, or backhoe for him. If I wasn’t doing that I would work in the shop doing whatever mechanical job needed to be done, from simple maintenance to full on mechanical jobs. I would probably still be with him today, but unfortunately he got ill and never recovered.

Education,

Malaspina College, Naniamo, B.C.

I successfully completed all coursework, skills, training and all applicable skills that are associated with this program. I’m also recognized as a 3rd year scaffolder through the union.

I’m currently semi-retired and only looking for a job to get me out of the house a few hours a week. I am working a couple of shifts’ a week for the Cossack Inn, but due to Covid we are closed. I’m only looking for a minimum wage job as I don’t need the money. I live less than a block from you and would be able to be at work in a very short amount of time if the need existed. I have worked in kitchens before and can start immediately. I hope you will contact me and set up a time to meet as I know this would work out very well for both of us.
