I started out as a Field Marketer for Parmalat Field Services (Smollan) In Greytown, then moved to Pietermaritzburg. My duties entailed:
Customer Services, surrounding and outlying areas
Execution of sales,
Management of stock
Merchandising, orders and returns of products
Arranging displays, Point of sale and positioning of products
Negotiating space and position of products
Training new merchandisers
In April 2009 I had the opportunity of starting up the Illovo Sugar Contract with Manline Diversified Logistics as On-Site Fleet Supervisor. My duties entailed:
Inspection of Manline vehicles
Ensure correct tonnage and products are loaded
Responsible for invoicing and documentation
Responsible for all trucks and drivers on shift
Engage in Safety talks with drivers on a weekly basis
Plan loads and routes of vehicles daily
Accept orders according to routes and rates
24hr satellite monitoring of vehicles
Provide detailed information of every load to Barloworld daily In April 2013 I had the opportunity to join Parmalat Field Services (Smollan) again, to take up a Field Manager role, covering areas between Pietermaritzburg and Bergville.
My duties entailed:
Implement targets and objectives
Manage Sales and returns
Ensure products are dominantly presented in the trade (Wholesale and Retail)
Monitor New Innovations and ensure POS is on shelf
Supervise and oversee tasks of field staff
Ensure Serviceability of Assets
Managing performance, Coaching, Mentoring, Hiring and Career development of all Field and Area Marketers In January 2016 I joined a Private Dairy to take up the position as Sales Manager. In July 2019 the business had been bought off by Jersey Cow Company. I had moved over as Sales Manager which entailed the similar roles with some additions. My duties entailed:
Forecasting of stock for Bulk Clients
Schedule stock for daily production to the factory
Monitor Sales targets and Returns monthly per client
Ensure weekly visits to customers and maintain relationships
