ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
•Make tactical decisions with respect to the implementation of and management of all matters relating to Health & Safety, Security, Fire Control and Loss Control matters to meet the demands required in terms of the position.
•This process encompasses all matters relating to H&S and the OSH Act, Security scheduling, and matters relating to Fire & Loss Control and reporting on the same to the Engineering Manager.

Specific Responsibilities related to the position
•Investigations, management, treatment and all follow-up documentation and incident reporting for IOD’s
•Statutory Tests as may be required, but not limited to the following:

•PPE – Control of ordering, issue and stock control.

•Security staff management, including control of the fire monitoring system – maintains and repairs security cameras, fire monitors and is responsible for all call-outs.
•Environmental Management, including but not limited to:
•NEMA, AQA, EIA, Flammable Liquids, etc. licensing applications as may be required from time to time.
•All permit related works
•Monitoring and call-outs for all alarms – security and fire.
