PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakhapatnam – Field Operator/Panel Operator for a Sulphur Recovery unit. Feb 2016- to till now

Participates in safe Start-up, Shutdown and troubleshooting of process plant of having a capacity of 300TPD.

Implements operating instructions; refers process upsets to the supervisor. Maintains log books, and records operating problems & remedial actions taken. Updates the latest standing instructions/procedures and modifications.

Routine daily activities – KOD Draining, Condensers intermittent blow downs, Liquid sulphur transfer to sulphur yard, Samples collecting, Reactor furnace flame, scanners, pyrometer reading monitoring, taking Pumps, blower parameters etc.

Ensures that unit samples are sent to the Laboratory as per schedule and arranges for extra samples. Follows up receipts of results and updates Lab book/sheets. Analyses test results and make unit operations adjustment, after consulting Shift supervisor and Control room engineer.

Operates & monitors performance of a variety of systems as assigned such as, fire fighting monitoring equipment, common utilities, and Sulphur yard. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitoring and controlling of process parameters & safety.

Receiving Instructions from control room operator and their follow up.

Start-ups and shut down of the Plant According to SOP Methods.

Following PSMS System and House Keeping in Work area.

Generating requisite for HOT and COLD Permits for the concerned job.

Take periodic readings and record them in assigned log sheets.

Troubleshooting and stabilizing plant conditions during abnormalities

Prepare and hand over equipment’s for maintenance and ensure safe working environment throughout the maintenance activity.

Ensure safe working environment at all times and maintain commitment and involvement to company’s HSE policy.

SAFETY & HSE

Good experience in working with cold and hot work permits system.

Actively participating in the safety meetings and discussing about unsafe Conditions, Attending Mock Drills, having knowledge and a member of Process Safety Management System (PSMS).

Equipment’s isolation procedure, vessel entry procedure, Nitrogen purging of the equipment for hydrocarbon freeing and air freeing.

Keeping Strict Vigilance and taking Corrective Measures for Pollution Control.
