RESPONSIBILITIES AS LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER .

Structural analysis and design of individual elements to complete structures

of simple to complex configuration coordinated with the project requirements.

The scope of responsibilities includes :

Structural analysis and design of cast-in-situ concrete structures, steel structures, precast pre-stressed structures, space frames and prefabricated steel structures.

Expert in the use of computer software’s for plan and 3-D structural analysis and design as well as use of finite element analysis modeling techniques.( SAP 2000, SAFE, ETABS, AUTOCAD,PCA-ADOSS, PCA-COLUMN, PCA-FRAME, PCA-MATS)

Leading the work and directing other engineers and drafters to produce high quality design work relative to the project requirements and within completion time.

Coordination with project team and other disciplines,interfaces with clients and working with specialist consultants and laboratories.

Attending workshops and meetings to resolve important matters and to plan for progress of work.

REPONSIBILITIES AS LEAD SITE ENGINEER.

Responsible for all matters related to construction quality assurance of structural

works and the checking of structural shop drawings to ensure the structural

soundness of structural items. The scope of responsibilities includes :

Review Contractor’s structural calculations, RFI’s and proposals. Prepare recommendations to Resident Engineer and Client for review.

Check, mark-up, and approve the shop drawings and technical submittals related to structural elements, (reinforce concrete, pre-stressed concrete, steel structure and glazing systems) and keep for record purposes.

Review and initiate corrections if required to contractors as built drawings. Monitor final inspection and completion of the work.

Clarify drawings and specifications for the contractor if and as required.

Quailty Control. Monitoring structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual. Witness testing and commissioning of the works.

Coordinate and supervise the work of all structural activities and operations. Close coordination with Architectural and MEP trade designs.

Review contractor’s claims related to structural works.Prepare recommandations for claims approval or rejection.

I have 30+ years of experience ( in state of kuwait ) in design and supervision of different types of structures, such as medical, commercial, residential, industrial, water retaining structures etc. In addition to that, a distinguished experience in structural assessment of various types of structures,through knowledge of international and local building regulations with effective communication skills in

Arabic and English, verbal and writing.

I possess expertise and technical skills and the ability to solve problems quickly

and positively with new ideas, ability to timely implementation,realistic and

holistic view to face things.
