AREAS OF INTEREST
Cardiothoracic Imaging: Regularly review multimodality medical imaging of cardiothoracic diseases and perform image guided procedures to provide diagnosis and make
management recommendations. This includes reading HRCT thorax, CT Pulmonary angiography, Cardiac CT, CT and MR Aortogram, CT guided lung biopsies and also mediastinal mass biopsies using hydro dissection.
Recently started doing cardiac MRI and reporting the same for various pathologies and reviewing the same at multidisciplinary cardiology rounds.
I have seen almost more than 2000 cases of COVID-19 HRCT thorax with follow ups as my hospital is COVID dedicated. Hepatobiliary Imaging: Regularly review multimodality medical imaging of hepatobiliary system diseases to provide diagnosis and make management recommendations. This includes reviewing cases at inter departmental meet of Gastrology and Radiology department.
Neuro Imaging: Regularly review multimodality medical imaging of diseases of neurology to provide diagnosis and make management recommendations with special interest in epilepsy.
Quality Improvement in Diagnostic Imaging: Research interests include optimization of radiological resources for the benefit of radiologists, physicians and patients.
Artificial Intelligence: Research interests include working on AI projects for the benefit of radiologist, physician and patients. Abdominal Imaging: Research interests include pancreatic and adrenal imaging.
Active interest in teaching radiology residents duringevery day clinical practice and case rounds. The focus of teaching includes radiological anatomy, systematic approach. Vikash Rustagi 4 of 5
