The purpose is to significantly improve US Geocoding through combining multiple efforts and resources. The primary purpose of ELOT is to provide a cost- effective method for targeting the acquisition of new or missing streets as well as enhancing Geocoding throughout the US database. This all-encompassing project includes creation and updates to Geometry, House Number Ranges, and Anchor points (APT) and Street Names by using sources mainly such as TIGER, DMP, and Imagery.
