Product Engineer, Device Engineer, Test Engineer, Applications Engineer

● Responsible for numerous product lines such as High Performance Digital Logic and Analog products, primarily with High-speed technology logic functions and PLL-based Clock Generators. Duties included:

● Performed Product and Test Engineering functions including yield analysis and enhancement of wafer probe, package assembly, and final test. Responsible for reliability, product cost and on-time delivery. Characterized devices and optimized production yields.

● Worked closely with Device, Process, Design, Reliability, Marketing & Applications, Manufacturing and Test Engineers to ensure timely introduction of new products, product improvements, cost reductions, quality improvement, and manufacturability.

● Assisted in the characterization, evaluation and qualification of new products and processes.

● Provided technical customer support for products: e-mail, telephone, fax, customer site visits.

● Generated and published technical documentation: new product datasheets, application notes, lab reports, evaluation board user manuals.

● Developed printed circuit boards (layout and design) for prototype, reference, demo and evaluation hardware for new product device characterization and evaluation for internal and customer use.

● Performed lab related activities including device characterization and evaluation of new product / debug initial silicon, customer application problem troubleshooting, competitor product analysis, collect and analyze data, generate and publish reports.

● Experienced working in a lab environment with common electronic laboratory measurement tools including oscilloscope, waveform generators, power supplies, signal and logic analyzers, DMMs and the ability to use them in a new product validation environment. Capable of soldering PCB components; Knowledge of Automatic Test Equipment & GPIB equipment control.

● Provided technical support for Field Application Engineers, training application engineering team, mentored recent college interns / graduates.

● Regular use of a personal computer with a variety of applications including MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
