Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Analyze the customer requirement and design the components required as per specification. 2) Prepare CNC programs for the same for manufacturing process. 3) To make 2D drawings of the components for manufacturing process. 4) Communicate and coordinate effectively with the team. 5) To keep a track on manufacturing, so that the part is obtained with good quality and within tolerances.
6) Communicating with the delivery team so that the components is delivered to the customers on time. Train the interns (Unigraphics), to follow a procedure to complete the project on time.
Projects:
Press tools for car parts:
Press tools i.e., Blanking and Forming Tools for Car parts. Parts being Door Visor, Scuff Plate and Wheel Arc.
Rings witch was used in defense applications, variation in sizes 3&4 meters.
Planning how to manufacture the component in easy and with less cost and quickly.
Model the components, as per the customer requirements, and cam process as per planning, to manufacture it.
Prepare 2D drawings for shop floor to easy understanding. Prepare drawing for clamping positions.
Silicon Rubber molding:
Steel and Aluminum molds for molding Silicon Rubber to get components such as Keypads, Electronic Device Cases etc.
Academic Projects:
Simulation of Friction Stir Processing On Aluminum Alloy
(5083):
Friction stir processing as a thermo mechanical approach aims on altering the microstructural and mechanical properties of materials in order to obtain the highest performance. In this project I observed microstructure, mechanical properties on material at various speeds, and feed rates practically, and compared with theoretical values.
Finally I concluded that I found the optimum speeds and feed rates to cut the material so that improved mechanical properties, and microstructure can be obtained.
Integrated Multi Paper Cutting Machine Using Geneva Mechanism:
A mechanism that translate a continuous rotation into an intermittent rotary motion, using an intermittent gear where the drive wheel has a pin that reaches into a slot of the driven wheel and there by advances it by one step. In real time we are spending more investment and time to cut papers, but using this mechanism (Geneva), we can reduce cost and time, to cut paper, and simple to handle, less power require.

operations like boring, drilling, milling.
