RESPONSIBILITIES:
As NDT Inspector / Coordinator
Study the NDT Scope or Work, method statements/procedures/Inspection Test Plans and project specification.
Study of applicable piping drawings.
Welder’s qualification test and Prepare welder’s performance qualification reports.
Surveillance of Control of welding consumables (Electrode, Filler Wire) baking of Low Hydrogen Electrode.
Perform inspection before, during & after welding of piping joints.
Perform incoming material inspection and prepare inspection reports.
Monitoring the piping material traceability during fabrication & erection of piping.
Monitor that, Materials, Fabrication & Erection activities, welder performance and welding activities to ensure work is being carried out in accordance with the approved procedures & project specifications.
Coordination with construction responsible person to timely completion of NDE as per requirement.
Control of NDE Crews and manage as per site condition & priorities.
Review & Interpretation of RT films & PMI reports according to client’s specification and Codes.
Prepare construction punch list and verification after clearance.
Witness of hydro testing.
Coordinate with client / company to incorporate observation and meet the client satisfaction within project specification.
Owns and complies with Company’s policies addressed in Management Manual, Quality and HSE.
QA/QC
Preparation of quality documents as & when required as per contract & client specifications.
Manage welder’s qualification test
Prepare welder performance qualification reports.
Manage Fabrication/Welding activities, verifying Welding consumable control, equipment calibration records, welding control records, etc.
Ensure that, Materials, Fabrication & Construction activities, carried out are in compliance with Project specification.
Study of applicable drawings procedures and specifications.
Manage NDE as per code & project specification.
Review of NDE reports.
Manage internal & Company walk downs for piping installation as per Test Packages.
Manage Pre-Commissioning & reinstatement activities as per work pack provided & preparation of Mech. Dossiers.
Ensure the RFI’s & all inspection documents are signed off by all parties.
On time preparation of weekly & Monthly QA/QC reports & shared with the management.
On time closure of Quality Alerts & NCR.
Attend Weekly QA/QC meeting with Company & resolve technical issues.
Review of Test Packs regarding test boundaries, Weld inspection summaries & NDE verification.
