PERSONAL STATEMENT

After finishing my DNB Plastic Surgery, I joined the prestigious Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi as an Aesthetic Senior Resident and have been working there since August 2019 and have gained valuable exposure to aesthetic surgery during my tenure there.

I have completed my DNB Plastic Surgery (Direct 6yrs) course from a high-volume plastic surgery center.

Having worked with such a team, I gained good exposure to emergency cases like facial trauma, extremity trauma reconstruction and limb salvage surgeries, peripheral nerve surgeries and macro and micro-vascular reconstruction, Burns and elective cases including cosmetic surgeries like Reduction and augmentation Mammaplasty, Abdominoplasty, Liposuction, Body Contouring, Facelift, Blepharoplasty and Rhinoplasty.

Working with a team has helped me observe and learn from the experience of my peers and seniors.

I have an inclination towards cosmetic surgery, hand surgery and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

I have been a leader of various student and doctors’ group activities in school, college and my hospital and have successfully organized many curricular and extra-curricular activities with my friends and colleagues.

I have been elected to be part of the Executive Council of our Prestigious ‘INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF AESTHETIC PLASTIC SURGEONS (IAAPS) in 2021.

I like to maintain a good Work life balance and during my post-graduation days too I have participated in numerous hospital day functions and extra-curricular activities. I Value Academics and till date I have cleared all my exams in the first attempt with flying colors including all the DNB exams.

Punctuality and good communication skills are my strongholds in keeping a good relation with my patients and colleagues.

I am vibrant and very enthusiastic about new projects and like to face new challenges in order to gain valuable experience in life.

Communication skills

Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients, their family members and also various health care practitioners, by carefully listening to their needs and showing genuine interest and concern, priority during interactions being clearly informing the concerned parties in a prompt manner.

Strong presentation skills and confidence demonstrated by experience of delivering presentations during my academic curriculum.

Write and speak English and Hindi fluently. Can speak Malayalam.

Interpersonal skills

Ability to quickly build rapport with patients and calmly deal with any problems.

Team working skills

Demonstrated excellent teamwork skills in busy work environments. Able to listen to patients and other members of the health care team, clearly define roles and responsibilities, perform role to a high level, cope with stress effectively and lastly support colleagues, resulting in high standards of patient care.

I have also completed Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses and was offered tutorship due to my excellent performance in the same. These courses emphasized the importance of team work and the way to go about it.

Administration and organization skills

Excellent ability to plan and manage time effectively, particularly in emergency triage.

Filing and documentation responsibilities during postgraduation gave me sound understanding of medical records procedures.
