- Watch keeping engineer officer on independent watch.

- Upkeep and safety of the engine room.

- Maintaining Main Engine, Auxiliary Engine and other mechanical systems.

- Maintain, overhaul of all screw, gear and centrifugal pumps.

- Worked extensively on RT flex and RTA engines, Daihatsu and Yanmar Generators.

- Positioning, aligning and adjusting parts for proper fit and assembly.

- Inspect finished products for proper functioning.

- Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning. Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products.
