Central African Pharmaceuticals (CAPS) Private Limited.

Period: July 2020 – Current. Position: Laboratory Analyst.

Responsibilities:

Perform and carry out a variety of routine physiochemical and analytical techniques on pharmaceutical raw materials, products and packaging materials – all in compliance with GMP requirements and guidelines from the pharmacopoeias (BP, USP, JP, Ph-Eur).

Operation and maintenance of the following Analytical instruments: HPLC, GC, IR, TOC, KF, TLC, Analytical balance, pH/Conductivity meter, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer and Polarimeter.

Collaborate with other Laboratory personnel in the preparation and review of the required documentation in the laboratory, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory test methods and Analytical report sheets.

Conduct investigation on laboratory equipment failure, OOT and OOS and identify the root cause and compile report to the immediate supervisor.

Provide technical assistance with the preparation of validation protocols and supervise process validation sampling.

Participate in internal and cross-departmental Research and Development projects.

Assist in cGMP, SOP and job skill training of Quality Assurance personnel and other company personnel.

Review results of testing carried out by other Analysts and assist in maintaining the documentation systems of the laboratory to ensure that quality records are completed accurately.

Performing annual product quality review and preparing reports with recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Provided day to day assistance to the Raw Materials and Planning team assuming the following responsibilities:

Reviewed Certificates of Analysis from external suppliers.

Performed sampling and inspection on incoming raw materials and packaging materials in compliance with approved SOPs and material specifications.

Worked as part of the Sampling department performing various sample collection and sample preparation techniques such as cone and quartering, crushing and pulverizing then transferring samples ready for analysis to the Laboratory department.

Performed daily operations of sample analysis of Ferrochrome Ores, Alloy and Slag.

Perform tests accurately and in a timely manner in compliance to standard operating and standard job procedures.
