Projects and Research
Ordered Algebraic Structures – R
Capstone Project
Researched on group theory, specializing in geometrical modelling of ordered discrete groups.
Analyzed and compared vectors using R Studio by generating two-dimensional planes.
Proved group isomorphism by showing bijective homomorphism of a group using induction.
Vehicle Sale Date Estimator – Python
Fall 2020
Cleaned and processed used vehicles dataset, containing 38,530 records and 30 variables to determine the variables that affect the sale time of a vehicle the most.
Predicted sale date using 4 machine learning models (Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, KNN, Random Forest), and achieved highest accuracy of 73% using the Random Forest model.
Discovered patterns in the data by converting it into various graphical forms using Seaborn and Matplotlib.
ACT Scores Analysis – R
Fall 2020
Performed quantitative and qualitative analysis of the impact attendance and suspension rates have on the ACT scores of students from CPS high school using academic performance dataset.
Conducted multivariate linear regression to generate associations and evaluated how well data fits the model.
Examined the differences in average ACT scores and concluded that selective (about 58%) enrollment schools outperformed other types of school using ANOVA and Tukey tests.
Restaurant Profiling – SQL
Fall 2020
Retrieved restaurants’ data using SQL queries to find the correlation between the location of the business and its reviews and determined which restaurants were currently open/closed for business.
Transformed and integrated data from multiple tables to extract information about customer ratings.
