a. Fiber Optics
• Performing maintenance operations on existing fiber links along TKL links i.e. DWDM, MBH, Backbone, JTL, Safaricom, Airtel, Metro links, Enterprise(Banks, Hospitals, etc.), Kenet, Government Parastatals and services, NOFBI, etc.
• Field activities: Fusion splicing on both 24 core and 48 core cable joints, setting underground and aerial cabling and rehabilitation activities, FTTN.
• Fiber Testing: Handling fiber cuts and degradation issues, analyzing fiber links for high losses/gain using OTDR, ODF operations (Taking and keeping records for Receive and Transmit, running patch cords, termination), DWDM troubleshooting and Optic amplifier installation, Power meter reading and analysis.
• Maintenance of equipment room and cable organization, monitoring and coordination of multiple fiber links simultaneously.
b. Radio Access Network
RAN equipment installation and troubleshooting.
