• WEB PLOT DIGITISER

INTERNSHIPS:

Industrial Trainee at HAL, Helicopter Division, Bengaluru Jan 2018 – Jan 2018

As an industrial trainee in helicopter division, I joined ALH flight Hangar. As a trainee learned practical knowledge on how a helicopter goes under rigorous procedures to ensure quality and safety. Involved in quality certification for 10 helicopters for 257 Aviation Unit of Indian Army. Looked after armament configurations, checking snags, synchronization between pilot and system etc. and also reporting the snags to officials and learning about procedure to repair and overhaul of the helicopters

• ANSYS FLUENT

• ICEM CFD

• HiFUN (High Resolution Flow Solver on

Unstructured Mesh)

• PARAVIEW 5.7

Campus Ambassador for Internshala

September 2017 – March 2018

Amazing time where I guided my fellow mates and my juniors to how to get an internship and how Internshala plays a vital role in students’ life to pursue their dreams. Increased number of students joining Internshala platform while ensuring they are learning new things every day. Was star performer for two months and I was selected to represent Internshala at IIM Bangalore as a Sponsor. Ran an advertising campaign and fun activities which helped students to learn about basic tips of resume building. Within a span of two days helped 300+ students join Internshala platform. CFD Intern at Simulation & Innovation Engineering Solutions Pt. Ltd. (SANDI) July 2019 - August 2019

SANDI developed their own CFD solver HiFUN which gives excellent results in high-speed simulation, as an intern I ran standard test cases like Onera 3D-wing, RAE 2822 & NACA 0012 Aerofoil, Lid cavity, VKI turbine blade etc. on both ANSYS and HiFUN. Generated optimum grid and reduced time taken for solving without compromising quality of mesh and results. Generated a medium grid for

“Supersonic flow over a base” case and was able to achieve excellent result and validated with NASA N-PARC. Also, validated cases over variety of Turbulence models and CFL ramping to optimize run time without changing quality of mesh/results. Post-processing was also validated in both Paraview 5.7 and ANSYS Results Module.

JOURNALS:

Co-authored a paper on “A comprehensive study on Space Debris, Threats posed by Space Debris, and Removal Techniques” at 2nd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Science and Engineering (ICETSE). In 4th Volume of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, UGC approved, Elsevier SSRN digital library.

Co-authoring a paper titled “Assessment of Humanitarian Benefits and Risks of Satellite Constellations” with SGAC Space Safety and Sustainability project group. Journal is selected for publishing in 72nd International Astronautical Congress 2021. PROJECTS:

• 2-D Supersonic Base Flow on SeegMiller Base flow using HIFUN, to capture the flow reversal over a wall, ran case in ANSYS FLUENT and HiFUN. Grid convergence was also achieved by developing medium fine grid with optimum CFL ramping.

• Final year thesis on “Computational Flow Analysis of Plug Nozzles”. Developed the geometry of the plug nozzles and ran it on different pressure ratios and truncation length. And also tested it on a new turbulence model K-Omega TNT.

• Turbulence model Analysis and grid convergence study of “Supersonic Flow over an Axis- symmetric base flow”

• Verification of standard cases as subsonic flow over NACA 0012 aerofoil, subsonic flow over ONERA-3D Wing, subsonic and supersonic flow over RAE 2822 aerofoil, periodic flow over a cascade of VKI turbine and incompressible flow inside a Lid Driven Cavity. By generation of mesh in ICEM and ANSYS meshing. And solving them in both ANSYS FLUENT and HiFUN. Post processing done in PARAVIEW 5.7.

• Case study and mini project submission on Ground based laser orbital debris removal system, where the system tracks and observes debris and targets them with laser pulse. It can be modified and can be mounted on satellite and targets can be accessed. ACHIEVEMENTS

• Secured third position among top 30 teams at Edtech 2018 by Zest Money.

• Represented Internshala at I.I.M.-BANGALORE at their national level fest, where total 3 students were selected from total 5000 ISP’s from all over the India

• Delegate for HPAIR-2019, HARVARD UNIVERSITY, USA.

• Won 2nd prize two times for Blackbox challenge at AVION, Inter-College technical fest.

• Honorarium for being the best volunteer in JSFOO 2019. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

• Volunteer Coordinator at Hasgeek Community and handled accounts and payments related queries and maintained smooth flow of conference. Handled conferences like JSFOO 2018, METAREFRESH, REACTFOO 2019, FIFTHEL 2019, FRAGMENTS 2019, JSFOO 2019 and ANTHILL 2019.

• Hall-Manager for DATA PLATFORM GEEKS 2018 organised by e-dominer and Microsoft.

• Content Writer for home-grown start-up of my seniors.

• Student Affiliate at Royal Aeronautical Society.

• Student Member at Astronomers Without Borders.

• Member at IFERP (INSTITUTE FOR ENGINEERING RESEARCH & PUBLICATION).

• Volunteer at Mars Generation.

• Organized an International Essay Competition for SGAC and theme for competition was Space Traffic Management.

• Technical Project Coordinator for Space Constellations Project, Space Safety and Sustainability Group, SGAC.

• Volunteer for TECHNICAL BARRIER REDUCTION PROGRAM 2019, summer internship for rural government school students.
