ASSISTANT FOREMAN (GROUP LEADER) 26 JUNE 1997 – 08 FEBRUARY 2015. Qatar Steel Company is a 2.5 Million Ton Integrated Steel Plant with 2-DR Plant, 5-Electric Arc Furnace, LF and Continuous Billet Casters. DUTIES

Work with furnace operators (Melters) to operate and set up Electric Arc Furnace to the desired operational performance.

Prepares the furnace for changing and follows the total furnace Cycle performing essential operations.

Prepare materials needed for the operation. Charge the material inside the EAF.

Melt and refined scrap & DRI charges with the necessary additives to the desired product grade.

Control the operator panel.

Operates the jet system (Carbon & Oxygen Injection).

Prepares and weighs all the necessary materials to be used during Melting and refining operation.

Taps the furnace from tapping desk and discharges the required alloys to the ladle.

Change EBT & Delta Roof Delta within short time.

Fettling repairs to the tap slope and furnace as requires. Operates the gunning/ fettling machine to line the furnace walls and repairs the furnace bottom.

Feed heats data to PMMS system.

Coordinates with the different units LF & CC machine to ensure smooth operation of all production units.

Directs and participates in refractory repair works whether hot repair or cold repair.

Checks work condition upon starts of shift assigned crew to different jobs that needs to be accomplished within the time shift after confirming with the outgoing shift.
