I I am interested in a short/long term position at your organization. I am a retired 2nd grade teacher from the Cartwright Shool District.

I would like to be considered for an opening in your organization. I enjoy working with the younger students. Language Arts and Art are strong areas for me.However, all subject for the lower grades are familiar to me, because of my prior experience as a certified K-3/Art/Multicultural teacher for Detroit Public Schools for @20 years, and before that, as a Kindergarten/1st grade teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District.

I worked as an outreach librarian at Burton Barr from 2010-2011. I was a storyteller I coordinated storytimes and did puppet shows, sang songs, read books to pre-K-5 year olds and caregivers at all of the branches in Phoenix.

Since my early retirement from Detroit Public Schools in 2009, I have worked as a tutor and substitute teacher, as well as a volunteer in Phoenix Public Schools as a senior 1-on-1 reading program through AARP(Experience Corps.) I retired in 2019 but began subbing soon after.

Due to the pandemic, I havebeen unemployed for the last year. I am now fully vaccinated, and ready to be around children, once again.

I have certification from the Arizona State Board of Education.

Summary
