Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the position of Instrument Technician . I have recently finished my Associates of Applied Science in Instrumentation Technology degree. Although I do not have many years of direct field experience, I do have knowledge within the job field. I have worked in refineries before which has given me a profound background in the safety rules and procedures that must be followed.

Having worked different crafts such as pipe fitting, boiler making,, and insulation, I have acquired many skills. I can apply my knowledge in any situation that is required to safely carry out instructions. As a boilermaker, I am sometimes required to deal with problems in standardized situations for which I must use my troubleshooting skills to resolve those certain situations. I am capable of climbing stairs/ ladders and working at elevated heights along with having a TWIC card.

Working as a Pipe Fitter I am responsible for reading isometric drawings, rigging and bolting up piping, valves, and other process control variables. In addition to making sure my coworkers and I have a safe work environment, I am responsible for ensuring that no piece of process equipment and instrumentation is damaged or broken. Although my petrochemical experience only spans a couple of years, I believe that the skills I have developed from working alongside instrumentation and other process control variables can be applied on the field daily.

ISC Constructors is dedicated to giving its customers the finest quality products and services along with taking care of the enviornment. I believe my skill set and vast knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment will be a great asset to the company. I would be delighted to meet you in person for an interview at your earliest convenience. You can contact me at 409-***-**** or by email at ********@****.***. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Luis Medina
