SP1 HR Action Request System, Z/OS Cobol/CICS-VSAM

Designed and coded SP1 System to process Departmental requests for personnel actions such as new hires, title changes, transfers, and terminations, subject to approvals at various levels of Administration. This Application was well received and Used on a Daily basis to coordinate levels of Approval Between HR and Department Heads, Division Directors and Hiring Staff. I Developed This Application in 1985-1986, continued enhancements and maintenance thru last day of employment in 2015.

Project leader of the team which developed, coded, tested and trained users in a Large Scale HR/Payroll System at Atlantic County Government including employee information maintenance, Time and attendance and personnel tracking for approx.. 2000 employees. Achieved Major improvements in Ease of use and speed and accuracy over a previous batch system. Designed and Programmed Modules Automating complex Payroll Overtime calculations, based on complex labor contracts combined with interpretation of Federal FLSA rules which greatly assisted User Department and Payroll staff by maximizing automatic calculation of Bi-Weekly payroll processing. T & A module Streamlining payroll process by minimizing processing time, Payroll Staff size and optimizing accuracy.

ACH DIRECT DEPOSIT MODULE capability for direct deposit of net pay to employee banking and credit union accounts, improving convenience for employees as well as minimizing check distribution issues for County Departmental staff. 1989

SQL(DB2) TABLE AND QUERY DEVELOPMENT

Atlantic County Inventory System Z/OS COBOL/CICS – VSAM.

Co-Designed, Developed and Programmed On-line Complex but Easy to Use

County Inventory Application System Which Maintains inventory for

medical, office and housekeeping supplies, automatically generating purchase

orders based on inventory on-hand Trigger levels, Implementation of cost

price averaging Automatically enables the end-user creation of requisitions for

timely and efficient processing by inventory staff. Developed 1993 – 1994,

Maintained Thru 2015.

Child Health Clinic, MS Visual Studio/Visual Basic/Access DB,

Crystal Reports

Co-designed and coded Application Schedules patient appointments for six county clinics maintains patient immunization and appointment scheduling records. Report writing using Crystal Reports for production and request reporting as well as automated reminder letters to patients. Application

Was highly successful in automating Child Health Clinic Daily Operations.

Used Daily by Nursing Staff and has proven essential in daily clinic Operations. Developed 1999 – 2001, Maintained thru 2011
