Substation designer and detailer specializing in electrical design

Provided subject matter experience on equipment change-outs for substations (scopes ranging from 138kV to 12.47kV breaker replacements to 138kV to 12.47kV addition)

Equipment replacement of KR Carriers, RTU, KD relays, static relays, and breakers

Major Projects:

Bryan Texas Utilities – Managed a project of above and below grade construction packages while operating at 69kV, switching to 138kV.

City Public Service of San Antonio (CPS) - Designed eight 345kV line terminals in a breaker and a half configuration. Oversaw a project of two 138kV line terminals, one 138kV tie breaker and initially two 50 MVA transformers and one 138/34.5kV switchgear unit. Additionally, oversaw design for CPS, which included two incoming 138kV lines terminating into a single 138kV main bus, feeding four 35kV radial feeder circuits. Transformer implemented at this station was a 60/80/100 MVA with LTC.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) – Design project adding revenue metering at Mustang (138kV and 69kV), Muskogee (161kV and 13.8kV) and Horseshoe Lake (138kV and 69kV) substations. The project required the use of PT/CT combination units at most locations and standalone PT’s in combination with slipover CT’s in all other cases. Worked on another two OG&E projects that entailed the addition of a new 161 to 12.5kV bay to the substation (using a 12/16/20 MVA Power Transformer with LTC) and one incoming 161kV line terminating into a single main bus, which in turn feeds a single 12.5kV underground distribution circuit Via a 7500-kVA transformer with LTC.
