Utilizing Security Executive Agent Directive 4 (SEAD 4) -National Security Adjudicative Guidelines, SEAD 7- Reciprocity of Background Investigations and National Security Adjudications, the Federal Investigative Standards, DOE Order 472.2 - Personnel Security, Intelligence Community Directive 704-Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Governing Eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and other guidelines and regulations, provide immediate support and response to adjudication questions, fielded by DOE and DOE national laboratory security managers, regarding the adjudication process and employee issues and conduct impacting their continued SCI access.

Conduct the adjudication of SCI security clearances for the DOE, the National Nuclear and Security Administration and the national laboratories. Evaluate background investigations, responses to Letters of Interrogatory, Case Evaluation Sheets (CES) and other information that may fall within SEAD 7 criteria. Prepare detailed CESs and provide recommendations, to DOE management, to grant or deny SCI.
