• Successfully reorganized the Accounting Department, which included lay-offs and recruiting new talent, to eliminate dysfunctions resulting in a significant increase in productivity and efficiency.
• Developed a fundraising plan and Benefits Committee as well as coordinated critical activities related to enacting strategies aimed at putting together the annual gala and launching various fundraising projects/initiatives.
• Developed a tracking system to monitor and report the financial and program performance of the organization and its affiliates. Implemented policies and strategies to reduce Financial costs.
• Improved the process of Consolidated Fiscal Report and SSOP submissions, and other state and federal required reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Worked closely with Board Committees to develop strategies to strengthen fiscal and programmatic operations. Established cash management systems and created specialized reports for the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee.
• Secured working capital and bridge financing to upgrade the organization’s fiscal operations. Established controls and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the overall business operations.
