For 2 years I was at Westside High school. I took great pride in being the ISS supervisor. Even though the ISS supervisor deals with troubled kids on a daily basis I would always try to find a silver lining. As the ISS Supervisor I took attendance at powerschool everyday to start the day. I had a schedule of what kids should be in ISS each day. Those kids would have a seat assigned to them and work as well. If work was not assigned I would email the teacher to get them some work. I had a matrix created on Google docs and when I received an email about a kid being assigned to me I would put them in the matrix. I was not allowed to have more than 20 kids in Iss at a time so if my matrix was to fill up I had to let my supervisor know asap.
As the O ensive Coordinator I had a sta of five including myself. I had one running back coach, one wide receiver coach and two O-line coaches. I coach the quarterbacks. Even though on paper they worked for me, I always looked at it as a team e ort. We discussed all ideas and would alway agree at the end of the day on what was best for the kids. I had to make a practice schedule daily and had to coordinate with the defensive Coordinator. As the OC I had to emplimet my o ense on all levels. I worked with the recreation department, middle school and freshman coaching sta to get this done. At the end of the day you are only as good as your sta . Working at Oakwood homes was a part-time thing for me. I handled all social media marketing and boards. All the yellow boards around town, it was me that put them there. Each week I would keep our social media platforms up to date with all of our weekly/monthly/quarterly o ers.
