• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and implementation.

• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

• Examine workpieces for defects.
