[STRENGTHS]

[AWARDS]

I have successfully transferred the operation of the insurance agency I created and ran for many years over to my children and my involvement is minimal. I’m seeking an opportunity to use my years of successful experience in financial sales, sales training and customer service to benefit a new employer and new clients. I find myself bored and restless without the challenge of work. I would also entertain the right opportunity in the restaurant industry, since I really enjoyed that work and have experience both as a server and as a manager.

University of Kansas Advertising / English

In 2013, I decided to transition out of full-time operation of my insurance agency as I incorporated my children into it’s operation. During this time I sought to expand my experience (and augment my income) in fields that were brand new to me. I worked in direct sales as a “pitch-man” for the “world-famous” Forever Sharp Knives inside Walmart Supercenters throughout the region….too much travel. I was the overnight manager/clerk of a 7-11 store where I was robbed, pistol-whipped and my customer was shot a dozen times….too dangerous. I worked as a server, first at Steak-N-Shake, then at Denny’s, and finally at Winslow’s BBQ in the River Market where I was a Server/Manager. I enjoyed the work, but Winslow’s closed it’s doors October 14, 2017. After I moved my residence to 12th & Walnut, I took a part-time position with SBPro Security, handling front door security at the One Light & Two Light properties of the Cordish Companies from December 2018 until I resigned in May 2019 due to scheduling concerns.

The Bayer Agency / Daniel Bayer & Associates [Founder] Operating as an independent agent, I served the needs of my existing clients and developed new business personally and as a partner with other producers. The priority is Safety and Security. My focus is on income security for high net worth individuals and their families and businesses and on retirement readiness for individuals using executive and employee benefit plans, non-qualifed plans and insurance products. I work often with my client’s other professional advisors. Much of my work was corporate, technical, and required special expertise. I am very good in Corporate and Business to Business situations, and am comfortable in the corporate Board Room and the kitchen table.. I am well-connected and respected in the local business and professional community and within my own industry. At this point, this business involves only part-time attention and scheduling is very flexible (my choice

Northwestern Mutual Life [Field Director, Special Agent] As a Field Director, I was involved in the recruiting, training and supervision of new sales agents and was also expected to personally produce new clients. I personally created and organized the training program for new agents at the agency. I very much enjoyed this “teaching” role and am proud that over 60% of the agents whom I trained and supervised were still successful in the business after 20 years. I built my personal clientele and developed a significant practice in Executive Benefits utilizing Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI). I had great success in this area and was the top agent in our agency and a Top 100 Agent with the company during my final four years with NML.
