RESUME

Ken Havelock graduated from The City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism and the Earth Sciences (Geography, Geology, Oceanography, Climatology, and Meteorology). He also earned a "certificate" from The New York Times (world famous newspaper) for attending a series of seminars (entitled Teacher-in-Service) conducted by successful columnists and journalists. Ken studied with The Institute of Children's Literature (which is located in the state of Connecticut).

In 1991 Ken founded a small company called Howlite Press which has as its focus "educational" products. We currently offer "wildlife" jigsaw puzzles based on photographs taken by professional photographers, a line of T-shirts (The Kritter-Fact T) which sells from time-to-time at zoological parks and nature centers at their gift shops in the U.S.

Our latest creation is a budding educational quiz book series, entitled, A Thinker's Daily Challenge, which earned a Mom's Choice Awards® seal and a NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award seal. Volume 1 was also a "finalist" in the USA "Best Book" Awards for its striking professionally-designed cover! A Thinker's Daily Challenge received endorsements from Alex Trebek, Host of television's Jeopardy!, Jeff Foxworthy, Host of television's Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, Professor Philip Bigler - 1998 "National Teacher of the Year," and several others! This book series covers the subjects of Geography, History, The Sciences, and Pop Culture. It offers Rebus and Word Finder puzzles, Image Identifications in black & white and color (leaves, famous faces, buildings and structures, flags of the world, and more), short stories, questions presented in a variety of formats (Fill-in-the-Blank, Multiple Choice, True or False, and Simple Construction), and many surprises! A Thinker's Daily Challenge has a "wide age range readership."

I strongly believe that people "learn throughout their lives," and I am most eager to take on the "product testing challenge" with Planet Vitamin!
