Designed and commissioned Flexo/Folder/Gluer

Controls used were Allen-Bradley Control Logix, Kinetix 6500 Servos, Panelview Plus 6 600 and 700 HMI’s,

Software used was RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk View Studio – ME.

Used Ethernet/IP for I/O and all machine control via a 250 node Industrial IP Network.

Programming tools used included Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Blocks. Also translated Automation Control Programs from B&R Automation to Rockwell Software/Allen-Bradley RS Logix 5000.

12/2011 – 3/2012 Aerotek contract at TE Connectivity

Position – Electronic Controls Engineer

Designed, documented, and commissioned high speed connector assembly machines.

Control hardware included Denso Scara robots, Yaskawa PLC’s, multiple Yaskawa Digital Servo Controls, Ethernet I/O, Proface Operator Interface, Edmund Scientific Vision Systems/Controllers, and High Potential Connector Pin Tester. Machines were powered by 207VAC.

Inputs and outputs to machines were 24VDC.

All data from 3 networked machine cells was collected on a PC via TCP/IP Ethernet Links to all controls.

2/2010 – 1/2011 Magnesita Refractories

Position – Electronic Controls Engineer

Designed replacement Electronic Controls Systems for hardwired controls at aggregates mining/manufacturing facility.

Created 40 Sheet Wiring Diagrams of AC and DC systems for Contractor Bidding.

Controls used included Steeplechase PLC software running on PC, Siemens I/O Systems, Honeywell HC900 Loop Controllers, Wonderware InTouch.
