AEROSPACE CONTROL SYSTEMS ASSEMBLER/TESTER
Performed final calibration on Electro Hydraulic Servo Valve Torque Motors. This process included inspection of motors prior to installing on test stand, setting motors to proper stroke values per process specs, and installing proper hardware to ensure the motor remains calibrated before moving to next stage of operation.
Other duties included assembly of both torque motors, as well as completed Servo Valves. Disassembly of Servo Valves for the purpose of repair or retrofit was also performed when needed.

Leadership Experience:
Seventeen years as Flaps Team Leader for the C-17 program. Regularly managed a team of sheet metal mechanics in the areas of quality, schedule, delivery, and cost.
Monitored all team metrics for negative trends, determined areas of concern using quality tools, involved team in a positive solutions, and made necessary adjustments to meet production targets.

Technical and Quality Experience:
Read and interpreted blueprints, assembly orders, engineering drawings, and other work instructions.
Used hand and power tools such as quack motors, high and low speed drills, rivet guns, torque runners, spacematic drills, Dotco, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Also used precision measurement tools such as dial calipers, depth gauges, and boroscope.
Built various Flaps assemblies for C-17 aircraft, experience also in C-17 bulkheads, and operating the G-900 Drivematic.
Maintained tools and performed tool box inventory at the beginning and end of each shift.
Inspected parts for flaws and defects and notified quality control and engineering when necessary. Inspected work for quality, defects, and proper installation and fit per instructions. Certified to inspect own work (Manufacturing Self Evaluation – MSE). Approved and stamped acceptable assemblies and rejected assemblies not within specifications.
Performed complex repairs per engineering disposition.
Used FOD prevention and safety procedures on a daily basis. Maintained a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Ensured tools were properly calibrated.
Good working knowledge of computer systems including MES (Manufacturing Execution System), Autotime, Solumina, and Outlook email.
